292 - Can nationwide chemistry reform efforts make a difference?

There are a number of nation and local efforts designed to make general chemistry more reflective of modern chemistry and theories on how people learn. This brings up the question: Can these kinds of reform efforts actually spur the chemistry education community to bring about lasting and meaningful reform in college general chemistry courses. This presentation will review some of the current efforts and their potential impact.
